October has a way of telling the truth. This is the season when many of us look up and see it plainly: the assignment still undone. If that is where you find yourself, hear me clearly — you are not behind, and you are not disqualified. You are simply in the middle. And the middle is exactly where finishing is decided.

Labor Day has always been more than a long weekend to me. It is a moment to pause, breathe, and honor the dignity of work — not just the work we do with our hands, but the work we do with our hearts, our minds, and our purpose.

If we’re being honest, no one starts a doctoral program excited about formatting, grammar rules, or the endless back‑and‑forth with committee reviewers. Most people begin with passion, purpose, and a topic they feel called to explore. But somewhere between Chapters 2 and 4, reality hits: this writing thing is harder than it looks.

In 2018, God whispered something unexpected into my spirit: Write. Not just for myself, but for children, teens, families, and communities who needed a simple, joyful way to engage with His Word. What started as a quiet nudge became a full book—born from obedience, faith, and the belief that it is never too late to dream again.
